These terms apply to softprism.online, published by G-Wetroltrans s.r.o., Orebitská 616/9, Žižkov, 130 00 Praha 3, Czech Republic, company registration number 04041101, contactable at info@softprism.online. Reading the site means these terms apply to that reading. Nothing on the site is sold and no account exists, so there is nothing else to agree to.
What this site is
It is a written course of general information about a category of desktop software, published for readers in Australia. It is not professional advice of any kind — not legal, not financial, not technical advice about your particular computer or your particular circumstances — and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from someone who knows your situation.
It is also not accredited training. There is no registration, no assessment, no certificate and no qualification. Nobody records that you have read anything, because the site collects nothing. Finishing the five steps confers nothing except what you have learned.
Accuracy and change
The course is written carefully and reviewed every six months, with the review date shown in the footer of every page. Even so, the things it describes change without notice: software is updated, publishers revise their terms and prices, operating system menus move, and the public bodies linked here reorganise their guidance.
Before acting on anything in the course that concerns a particular product, check the current position with the vendor. Where the course describes the rules made by an Australian public body, read the body's own current page rather than relying on our description of it. Links to those sources are provided throughout for exactly that reason.
Other people's websites
The site links to pages operated by others, including a paid affiliate link described on the funding page. Those sites are outside our control. We do not warrant their content, availability or security, and a link is not an endorsement of anything beyond its usefulness as a reference at the time of the last review. What you do on another site is governed by that site's terms and its privacy notice.
Use of the material
The text, layout and markup of this site belong to G-Wetroltrans s.r.o. You may read it, print it and keep a copy for your own use, and the checklists page is designed to be printed. Republishing substantial parts of it elsewhere, or presenting it as someone else's work, is not permitted without written consent. Brand names referred to in the course belong to their respective owners.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, G-Wetroltrans s.r.o. is not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on the general information published here, from the site being unavailable, or from anything done on a site reached through a link from here.
That limit goes only as far as the law allows and no further. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that applies to you under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Where such a guarantee applies and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to the extent the law permits us to limit it. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission publishes what the consumer guarantees cover.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, where G-Wetroltrans s.r.o. is established, and the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. That choice does not displace the protections available to you as a consumer under Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law, where those protections apply to you and cannot be contracted out of.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised. When they are, the effective date at the top of this page is updated, and the version then published is the one that applies. There is no account to notify, so the date on the page is the record.
